Field Trip to the 14th International Brewing Competition in Hamburg

With support from the BCI Department, students in the 2025/26 Brewing Club had the opportunity to participate in the 14th International Brewing Competition in Hamburg and present the beer they had developed. The field trip offered a valuable opportunity to present their own brew to an expert audience  and provided fascinating insights into different brewing styles, approaches, and technical perspectives. Faculty members from the departments of Technical Biochemistry, Bioprocess Engineering, and Technical Biology accompanied the students throughout the program and were on hand to offer them advice and support.
