Field of research
Predictive Modeling and Machine Learning for Biomedical and Environmental Applications
My research aims to develop innovative predictive models and machine learning algorithms as well as biosynthesis techniques to address critical challenges in human health and environmental sustainability.
By leveraging advanced data analysis and synthetic biology techniques, I will focus on the following key research areas:
- Early disease detection and diagnosis utilizing metabolomics-based biomarker discovery and DNA marker analysis.
- Microbiome research including microbiome-drug interactions and the downstream effects on the microbiome community structure.
- Employing multivariate data analysis to characterize the chemical composition of natural products and identify potential variations in medicinal properties due to environmental factors.
- Biosynthesis of pharmaceutically valued metabolites in yeast and plant cells.
The ultimate aim of these research areas is to advance our knowledge of disease diagnostics and to provide novel approaches for the production of medicinal compounds.
